Oh the babies… {cleveland newborn photographer}

Instead of trying (and failing) to play catch up, I’m just going to fill this post with some of my babies from this year. It’s already July (holy smokes, 2019 is flying by) and I realized I have not made good use of this blog! I love to write, and I love to share my photos and duh, blogging is the perfect way to do both things. So, heeeeeerrreeeee we go!! Buckle up, we’re heading into BabyTown.

That grouchy little cry ^^ Gah! A little cry here and there is totally normal during a newborn session. I’m an expert soother 😉
Legit spoiled with sweet baby S ❤ Plus, how beautiful is his mommy!
macro baby details… I never get tired of them! I recently bought a “new to me” macro lens which makes these so cool (and a touch easier 😉 )
Money spent on a Fresh48 is money well spent. You can add a Fresh48 session to any maternity or newborn session, or you can book it as a stand-alone!

We’ve got a thumb sucker! ^^ How cute is that? Baby B found her thumb right away ❤ Self soothing is aweesssooooome.

Oh, she fancy. ^^

Big Brother C showed me his PawPatrol buddies ❤ In home sessions are so so so perfect because you never have to worry about *anything*. If a toddler sibling gets bored, it’s cool. Toys! If baby needs to stop for a feed, it’s fine! If there is a blow-out, no biggie, diapers!

Need I say more? #bringmeyourbabies 😉
Expecting in 2019 or early 2020? Send me a line, let’s get your newborn on the book. email wendy@wboycephotos.com I will travel anywhere in Northeastern Ohio!

Welcoming Bodhi {cleveland newborn photographer}

Winter newborns in full effect 😉 Spending time with Heather, Andrew, and precious Bodhi was wonderful. They were such naturals. Their clothing was perfect, natural and neutral without being fussy. If you ever have questions about what to wear for your session, let me know! I’m happy to help with selections.
Sweet Bodhi snoozed through our session and must have been having sweet dreams; check out that little

Yep, newborn smiles happen! Right place, right time ❤ Look at that little baby fuzz!

We laid Bodhi in his crib and Andrew made sure he wasn’t lonely… Bodhi settled right in and snoozed ❤ bgn-57wmbgn-67wm

Yep, more smiles! love love love…

Being able to work in my client’s home is really awesome. It allows everyone to relax, not stress out about bringing all the baby things (and momma things) anywhere! My families never need to worry about picking up or making sure the house is tidy– I’m a mom, too. I am 100% not judging. I often times tell clients who make apologies for their home that I have been there, times two as a twin mom! I am a master at moving whatever needs to be moved out of frame 😉

If you or someone you know is expecting in 2019, make sure you give them my info (wendy@wboycephotos.com : Session Information Here! ) When your friend books, you BOTH earn a little bonus!

Film snapshots {cleveland film photographer}

Early today, in a photography group I belong to on Facebook, we were talking about “going back to film”. I’ve mentioned before that there was no “going back” to film- I didn’t ever really shoot film, except for little point and shoot pictures like was the only thing available to most of us in a pre-digital era. There are so many fun things I’ve already waxed poetic about when it comes to film- I just wanted to share some of my personal photos, all taken on film. I’ve been using a Nikon FG and a Nikon F100 lately. My daughter Lilly has commandeered my much loved Vivitar v3000s and she has been shooting with it ❤ I’ll include a photo or two of hers, as well! I buy film on Amazon, and have it developed with Old School Photo Lab  If you have any questions about working with film, leave a comment!

When we met Cameron {cleveland newborn photographer}

They say there are very few mysteries in life. Kristen and Chris decided that learning the sex of their baby would be a mystery they hung on to ❤  When their precious little one was born in early May, they found out together, that it was a little boy.
I packed up and headed to their home in the Cleveland suburbs to photograph their new little family.  I love doing in-home sessions. They are my #1 favorite session to shoot.

If you’re pregnant and expecting in September 2018 or later (yes, 2019 dates included!) please email me today to book your in-home newborn session.  Let’s get your due date on my calendar! wendy@wboycephotos.com

Mommy and Me Mini sessions! {cleveland family photographer}

Mommy and Me mini sessions are now open and booking! They will be held April 14th, 2018 and will be best for five or fewer participants. We moms are so often the ones behind the camera, or holding our cell phones at arm’s length, and our kids deserve better than that. You are worth $100– honestly, you’re worth a million bucks. Treat yourself, or if you know a mom who maybe hasn’t had photos taken with her children, why not gift her a session?

email wendy@wboycephotos.com to book yours!

Film Photography Love {cleveland film photos}

Once again, I need to sing the praises of my favorite film developers, Old School Photo Lab, in Dover NH. I sort of, kind of, went nuts with my film. I think in June-July I developed something like 10 or 12 rolls. I was getting the actual 4×6 prints back as well as high res scans and that was adding up- for good reason of course and I’m happy to pay for services used.  But I was running out of film budget quickly, haha! I believe these were all developed on Fuji 200 and 400 speed film, which I’ve been getting on Amazon.

I shot film while we visited the zoo in Akron….

We’d never been, and I was really surprised with how botanical it was! The gardens were so pretty. I wish I had brought three full rolls- I only brought one and a half :/ Live and learn; bring more film than you think you need.  All of the following images are SOOC (straight out of camera). The only edit work done was to place them into the collage spaces.

I shot film at my hometown’s Cherry Festival (North East, PA represent!) I shot some of the attractions and the things that just scream Cherry Fest , North East for me…

I only wish I had time to get down to Freeport Beach. Oh well. I am planning on only taking my cell phone and my Vivitar v3000s camera on our family trip to NYC this month! I bought 40 rolls of film, and honestly I hope it’s enough. That’s going to be a hell of a develop fee though :S

I took my Yashica to the Luvin Lavender festival in Madison OH. One of my daughters and I went and had a nice morning together.

And my other daughter and I took both the Yashica and the Vivitar on a walk through our neighborhood. We were having some painting done on our house, too 😉

I am obsessed. I can’t believe how much more I’m enjoying photography working with film as my medium. A friend encouraged me to invest in a Nikon F6 film camera… but with a $2500 price tag, I think it’ll have to wait. Forever. I am sort of eyeing up this Nikon F10 though. How many cameras is too many again?

Helping out {community not competition}

A few months ago, I received an email asking for article submissions to one of my favorite photography resources, Pretty Presets for Lightroom.

The first article was published yesterday. I hope you find strength in these words and run the best business you can ❤
