Earlier in the spring, my designer friend Natalie Gartner owner of Little Miss Party Planner put together the most amazing tea party. We had two beautiful little girls, who got to enjoy *real* macarons, cake, and treats! There were felted craft pieces to fill in some decor, and Natalie’s own real tea set. The details of the tea party were stunning…
The girls were both two years old, and you can see how much fun they had together, playing in their beautiful gowns, provided by LMPP.
It wouldn’t be a toddler party, without a little sass, and Miss Cece had it to spare; I love that we had time to let the kids be kids, sassy faces and all.
I was very spoiled as well, to see Natalie had set up this amazing “glamping” tent! I would love to set it up for simply styled Mommy and Me sessions! Maybe next April… 😉
I am so grateful to Natalie for styling this incredible set. She has an eye for everything; I literally just had to show up and read the light. She plans beautiful events, weddings, parties– you name it. There is nothing she cannot do. If you’re planning a party, and want it to have a special touch, reach out to Natalie AKA Little Miss Party Planner. You will not regret it!
A special thank you to Shawna Polimene and Miss Cece for playing!
(sign ups for the tea party have now closed, but you can schedule your own full tea party session for September or even 2019 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org!)
They say there are very few mysteries in life. Kristen and Chris decided that learning the sex of their baby would be a mystery they hung on to ❤ When their precious little one was born in early May, they found out together, that it was a little boy.
I packed up and headed to their home in the Cleveland suburbs to photograph their new little family. I love doing in-home sessions. They are my #1 favorite session to shoot.
If you’re pregnant and expecting in September 2018 or later (yes, 2019 dates included!) please email me today to book your in-home newborn session. Let’s get your due date on my calendar! email@example.com
“Hey, I just met you… and this is crazy. But I’m your baby, so call me maybe…”
I belong to a number of photography communities on Facebook. One of those group is Pretty Presets for Lightroom. The group is really nice for photographers of all levels. I’ve been a community member for quite some time; I have been published in their magazine, and have had three articles published on their blog! The Pretty Presets group has challenges every so often, and this image of Leslie, Elise, Henry and Olive received an Honorable Mention 😀
Thank you, Pretty Presets for the support over the years! Check out the winner and the 8 other Honorable Mentions HERE!!
Interested in your own session with wendy b photos? Email firstname.lastname@example.org today! Openings are available in June and July!
Ah, new people. Photographing newborns is my most favorite part of my job. I always travel to my client’s home, so everything is as easy as possible. No packing up, no worrying about diaper explosions, no worries about an uncooperative tiny human or sibling 😉 While I can bring some small studio props with me, I generally prefer to shoot your newest family member, at home- just being. I love getting to use personal pieces- in the above picture, Joey’s mommy (a very talented artist) painted the globe behind him, we shot in his room, with his yellow blanket!
When Cecelia was born, I was able to photograph her big brother snuggling with her by the window, a beautiful smile in her Daddy’s arms, and a precious little coo in her crib! These photos wouldn’t have the same sentimentality had I shot them in studio.
It’s so important to me, to be able to give my clients a glimpse of their tiny baby and his or her role in the family. The newborn phase goes by so quickly, and in such a haze. In the blur of sleep deprivation and hormonal changes, it’s easy to forget the tiny little wisp of hair he had, or the little dimple she had comfort sucking, or the way the puppies always wanted to be so close. To make sure you can get in, book your newborn session no later than your 30th week of pregnancy. (email email@example.com for availability, currently I can take April, May, and June newborns)Studio photography is *beautiful* and someday, I hope to be able to add the option for studio photos, but for now I’ll happily come to you and photograph your tiny person right at home indoors, or if you have a summer baby outdoors! ❤
Sweet Caleb Clay was in a hurry to meet his family! He is healthy and perfect, despite his slightly early start ❤ His early-ish birth also made scheduling his session a bit easier- we had to reschedule his session because NEO was nailed with a pretty nasty storm (though nothing like what my hometown outside of Erie, PA has been dealing with) but we had a bit of wiggle room and the day we shot, he was technically about 37 weeks gestation. Cool, right?
I traveled up to Janel and Greg’s home and we got to work. Caleb, like lots of babies was totally into checking out his surroundings. I can always work with awake babies 🙂 Eventually, after some snuggles and a little snack, Caleb settled in. We were able to use *so* many personal touches, it’s the biggest reason I love going to my client’s home for newborns. The green blanket and hat were made for him, the reindeer hat was a gift, and perhaps most special- the quilt he is snuggled with was made by his Great Grandmother Virginia.
Not only was this quilt made by his Great Grandmother, it was the FIRST quilt she had ever made, many years ago. I brought my own quilt to the session and when Janel saw it, she remarked that she was pretty sure she had a family quilt, somewhere in the house. She took a peek and brought back this beauty and told me the story of it’s maker. Had we not been shooting at home, we wouldn’t have been able to use this piece of family history! Congratulations, Janel and Greg (and kitties Kevin and Louis). Caleb is absolutely darling ❤ ❤ I can’t wait to watch him grow with you!
Now booking MARCH and later newborn sessions! email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule today 😀
On this freezing Thursday, I’m throwing it back to Mandi’s maternity session! We had a beautiful, chilly day. Big Brother Ben was *so* adorable, giving kisses and snuggles, and big smiles! It’s so awesome to be able to include the new “big” sibling in maternity sessions.
Isn’t she beautiful?
Perfection, they name is Charlie Belly. Sometimes, you need a little snack break. On Sunday, I get to meet little sister Charlotte Noel, who was born Dec 26th! Working with Mandi, Joey, and Ben is always so fun and relaxed. I always look forward to our time together.
I’m currently booking FEBRUARY and MARCH newborns! Refer a friend and get some fun extras for both of you 😉 Save over $100 when you book a Watch Me Grow session where you get newborns, 4m, 8, and a 12m cake smash all set up at once, but pay through out the year! Playing catch-up as always! Oh how I miss those beautiful summer evenings. Little Elise left me speechless when she pushed herself up into a crawl!
Couldn’t you just eat her up? She has the sweetest little face ❤
You. Guys. ❤ I was given this hat by a vendor to use for newborn photos, only it was HUGE. You can see it’s even a bit big on sweet Elise at 6m but great googily moogily how adorable is she in it!? Like mother, like daughter. Two beautiful ladies ❤ I can’t wait to see how Elise grows over the winter 😀
I’m currently booking 2018 maternity, newborn, milestone and family sessions! Book yours before 1.1.18 and lock in 2017 session fee!
This is the week of throw-backs! Today’s feature is baby Elise ❤ Elise was born in March, so I headed down to her family for her in-home newborn session. Shooting in my client’s home is always the easiest for them- no packing up anything, no worries if baby has a diaper explosion or a little reflux. We also get to relax, and spend time in a place where everyone is most comfortable.
and… I get to meet the family pets ❤ Olive and Henry made this shoot so special. Olive had to make sure the basket was safe for her new human!
All those small details… you forget sometimes how tiny their ear was, or how they puckered their little lips, the curve of a chubby cheek ❤ You forget how their skin was so new, and soft… You never forget the work it took to grow them, but sometimes you forget those itty bitty details.
I get to see Elise in just a few weeks for her six month milestone session and I cannot wait to see how much she’s changed! I’m booking November and early 2018 newborns and milestone sessions 😀 If you know someone expecting, send them my way; when they book their session you’ll both earn some fun freebies!
Once again, I need to sing the praises of my favorite film developers, Old School Photo Lab, in Dover NH. I sort of, kind of, went nuts with my film. I think in June-July I developed something like 10 or 12 rolls. I was getting the actual 4×6 prints back as well as high res scans and that was adding up- for good reason of course and I’m happy to pay for services used. But I was running out of film budget quickly, haha! I believe these were all developed on Fuji 200 and 400 speed film, which I’ve been getting on Amazon.
I shot film while we visited the zoo in Akron….
We’d never been, and I was really surprised with how botanical it was! The gardens were so pretty. I wish I had brought three full rolls- I only brought one and a half Live and learn; bring more film than you think you need. All of the following images are SOOC (straight out of camera). The only edit work done was to place them into the collage spaces.
I shot film at my hometown’s Cherry Festival (North East, PA represent!) I shot some of the attractions and the things that just scream Cherry Fest , North East for me…
I only wish I had time to get down to Freeport Beach. Oh well. I am planning on only taking my cell phone and my Vivitar v3000s camera on our family trip to NYC this month! I bought 40 rolls of film, and honestly I hope it’s enough. That’s going to be a hell of a develop fee though :S
I took my Yashica to the Luvin Lavender festival in Madison OH. One of my daughters and I went and had a nice morning together.
And my other daughter and I took both the Yashica and the Vivitar on a walk through our neighborhood. We were having some painting done on our house, too 😉
I am obsessed. I can’t believe how much more I’m enjoying photography working with film as my medium. A friend encouraged me to invest in a Nikon F6 film camera… but with a $2500 price tag, I think it’ll have to wait. Forever. I am sort of eyeing up this Nikon F10 though. How many cameras is too many again?
I’ve been photographing Madison “Mads” since she was about 8 months old. She was as full of spunk then, as she is now! And she is insanely beautiful. Child model material for sure. She is such a perfect mix of her gorgeous mom and her hilarious dad.
She’s pony obsessed like all four year old girls should be, and has been for at least a year. During her 3yr photo session, she brought one of her ponies with her, and she showed me her pony hooves. It was awesome.
She’s also into her pretties; her necklace, bracelet, and dainty painted nails…
She’s a big sister now, too! Mason had his newborn session back in December and soon, he’ll have his very own cake smash just like Mads had, three full years ago ❤
I’m currently booking November milestones and fall mini sessions and *2018* newborns! Line up your session spot, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
